Insanity

My college ID card has been missing since Saturday.  It's very annoying- kind of like being grounded, because I can't do ANYTHING here without it.

Today I found it in the pocket of my bathrobe.

I haven't the slightest idea why I would have put it there.  I think I'm going insane.

Top 10 Reasons Why I Freakin' Love the Beatles

1)  Their music is timeless.  They formed, made all their music, and broke up decades before I was born, and yet I still love them.
2)  Their music is universal.  Everybody loves the Beatles.  Even if they say they don't.  People who say they don't love the Beatles either haven't heard all their songs or don't realize that some of the songs they love were written by the Beatles.
3)  Paul McCartney used to be kind of hot.  You know it's true.
4)  Abbey Road parodies are SO FUNNY to me for some reason.
5)  I cannot listen to "Here Comes the Sun" without smiling.  Can you?
6)  They do songs about everything, from the most obvious, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" to the really strange, "Polythene Pam," and "Maxwell's Silver Hammer," and yet they're always awesome.
7)  I play RockBand in my head when I hear certain songs now, and that reminds me of home and family. :)
8)  Everybody wants to be the Beatles.  Their songs have been covered and re-covered over and over again.  But nobody does it as good as they did.  (Across the Universe?  Yuck)
9)  Beatles movies are crazy!  I watched Help a couple weeks ago and it was so wacky.  I loved it.
10)  They were the ultimate garage band.  They started as just a group of kids trying to write their own songs, they slapped on some suits and eventually even produced their own stuff and became international superstars.

Kade!

My sister Amy gave birth to this beautiful little guy on Monday.  Man I wish I was there to squish he!

Welcome to the world, Kade Matix Harmon.

Colds SUCK

Not only do I feel like crap, I also look like crap and sound like crap.  And I missed my first period class, but other than that I've had to trudge through, not sick enough to just lay around but not well enough to feel good.

Oh Elliot Smith, how I love you and wish you didn't love the F bomb so much.  My ego was slipping in the Greg music guessing game...but I figured out that he was just skipping all the ones that I knew...so now I feel better.

I had fun in Ogden tonight!

PS- I also found out that not only do I not like the word ska, I don't think I like the music genre either.  It's like...too happy.  I'm more into music that's subdued.

Looking forward to...something

I feel like I'm excited for something, but I'm not sure what it is.  I wish I was in Alaska right now.  I wish I had a grand piano in my dorm- better yet, I wish I was out of the dorm and into the condo.  So I guess that would mean I wish it was next semester.
But, I don't wish that at all!  Then I would miss summer, my brothers wouldn't be here anymore, and I would be much closer to National Convention, and I'm not at all ready for that...but I'm looking forward to it?
I don't know.  I don't feel content.  I'm looking forward to having more friends...life is complicated.

hair...

My hair is fickle.  I've been trying to use a roundbrush to get both sides to curl under when it dries, instead of swooping to the right...and this morning I got the roundbrush stuck in my hair.  Like, seriously stuck fast.  I know that you're supposed to do that when you are 6 years old, but there you have it.  I thought I might have to cut the thing out!  I finally did dislodge it without having to ask for help...but it was embarrassing.

Lars and the Real Girl

My sister Rita recommended I watch this movie, so I put it on my Netflix queue. Then I read the description and I was like...what?

So I'm telling you now- don't read the description, just watch the movie. Or if you do read the description, don't get freaked out. It's sooo good. Trust me.

Calvin's getting married. He never posted it on his blog so...there you go. Should be good times.

I got to perform in my third improv show (off campus!) at Spoon Me last night. It went pretty well, I had fun.

Tomorrow I have to get a head start on all my textbook reading for next week. I'm already 2 chapters behind in my Animal Science class (plus Anthology) and my Beginning Newswriting Class, and have to read one more chapter in Society and Disability and two in Media Smarts! Ugh, it's so annoying.

Other than that, I'm not really sure what I'll do. Any ideas?
